April 2021 Poem-A-Day Challenge, Day 4
Today we’re writing an active poem, so my interpretation is to welcome spring and celebrate Easter! Hope everyone has a happy, peaceful, and blessed holiday. ✝️🐰
Spring Has Sprung, It’s Easter Day
April flowers, welcome spring
A time for rebirth, gathering
Daffodils, daisies, hyacinths
Tulips, pansies, primroses
Rain showers and thunderstorms
Wispy clouds in all their forms
Bright blue skies, birds in V
Fresh-cut lawns, wide as the sea
Chocolates, peeps, and jellybeans
Lamb and ham hocks, and green beans
Easter Bunnies, eggs galore
Today we esteem our Risen Lord
Rainbows shimmer, pots of gold
A joyous celebration to behold
So grab your family, it’s Easter Day
Praise be to God, let’s celebrate!
