Jingle Bah Humbug

We’re barely into December and the holiday season is exhausting me—physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially. A few weeks ago, I gushed about how much I love this time of year and how important it is for me to keep up with…

“Who hears music, feels his solitude Peopled at once.” ― Robert Browning Almost two weeks ago my husband and I scored a “date day” in Manhattan (thank you Babu & Papa!). We got there early; feasted on Italian cheeses, meats,…

Holding On To A Memory

My son is fascinated with my elbow. I have no idea why, but I know it started around the time he turned 18 months (he will be 3 in December), when we began potty training. For some reason, my elbow…

I’ve never claimed to be one of those parents who thinks she has it all figured out. Hell, I’m almost five years in and I still have no idea what I’m doing. Sure, I’ve figured out how to game the…

“Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky.” –Kahlil Gibran I came across this quote the other night and it spoke to me. (I even taped it to my laptop so that I can read it every day.) If…

The Story Of A Preemie

I recently shared a post on Facebook in support of prematurity awareness. This movement is near and dear to my heart because my beautiful daughter—my first born—was a preemie. It’s not easy sharing this story. When you go through something…

I complain about a lot of things when it comes to parenting and kids, but one of the worst things is sickness. UGH, just writing that word irritates me. Of course, no one enjoys being sick, but being sick as…

About This Site

This blog isn’t solely about parenting. Yes, I’m a stay-at-home mom but I wear many other hats: wife, sister, daughter, chef, baker, chauffer, personal shopper, party planner, cleaning lady, customer service and marketing manager for a local insurance agency, the list is endless. I live so much in my own head and writing is my therapy. I’ve been craving an open, honest, and nonjudgmental outlet for those thoughts, and this blog is it. Why not just keep a journal? Because knowing there are other moms out there going through my same experiences lifts my spirits and motivates me to stay strong. And if I can help and maybe even inspire these women or make them laugh while fulfilling my dream, well, then, that’s a wonderful thing!
