“That’s what death is, isn’t it? Forgetting. Being forgotten. If we forget where we’ve been, what we’ve done, we’re not men anymore. We’re just animals. Your memories don’t come from books. Your stories aren’t just stories. If I wanted to…

Sometimes as a parent, we’re faced with unbelievably difficult (and often unthinkable) situations that both test and age us. My husband and I had one of those moments last night. But let me start from the very beginning. In early…

When Life Comes Full Circle

Looking out over the Mediterranean Sea in Positano

At this moment in my life, parenting experts—if there are such a thing—could probably use me as a case study in “How To Self-Reflect And Adjust Your Perspective After A Parenting Meltdown.” Three weeks ago, I woke up, hyperventilated myself…

About This Site

This blog isn’t solely about parenting. Yes, I’m a stay-at-home mom but I wear many other hats: wife, sister, daughter, chef, baker, chauffer, personal shopper, party planner, cleaning lady, customer service and marketing manager for a local insurance agency, the list is endless. I live so much in my own head and writing is my therapy. I’ve been craving an open, honest, and nonjudgmental outlet for those thoughts, and this blog is it. Why not just keep a journal? Because knowing there are other moms out there going through my same experiences lifts my spirits and motivates me to stay strong. And if I can help and maybe even inspire these women or make them laugh while fulfilling my dream, well, then, that’s a wonderful thing!
